The Young Punx were the second DJ group to lend their effort to The White Island Takeover. Hal Ritson and Nathan Taylor of The Young Punx hosted the appeal on Flaunt, where it emerged that each of them had been given a symbol by an odd man dressed in a Leopard-skin hat, following one of their gigs. Hal reported he lost his hat during the gig, and it was returned by the funny fellow backstage; inside it, a new symbol had appeared. Nathan confirmed a similar experience with his hat. They both subsequently identified the man from CCTV footage.
