The Brotherhood of The Green Chrysanthemum entered the White Island story after their representative contacted Elisabeth Perl at the Love Parade in Dortmund, Germany, on 20th July. In a video posted on 21st July, Elisabeth stated that she had been contacted by a member of the Brotherhood, who had offered the organisation's help and advised her that she should 'follow the energy to Ghent' to learn more about the mystery of the White Island.
The events of the Ten Days Off festival at Ghent suggested that the Brotherhood is an organisation sympathetic to Elisabeth and whose members might include several DJs. Speculation abounds concerning Tocadisco, Tiefschwarz, Pig and Dan, The Black Dog, Andy C, Murdoch and others, all of whom were tangentially tied to The White Island at 10 Days Off.
However, when The Brotherhood brought The White Island Takeover to Flaunt, many DJs were confirmed as members, joining the search for Elisabeth: Sarah Main, Above and Beyond, The Young Punx, Micky Slim, Shapeshifters, Paul van Dyk, and the international bible of dance music, Mixmag.
