When Pete Tong's tracks first disappeared, they were replaced by a silver symbol. 'Twelve mysterious symbols' were mentioned in the video appeal Tong recorded asking for help with the mystery. A silver pendant given to Sarah Main on Ibiza also proved to be a clue to another puzzle. So far, each puzzle solved on the www.thewhiteisland.com has revealed a different symbol.

This symbol has made several appearances in The White Island, and has been broadly associated with Pete Tong.
It first appeared as a silver artefact, left in place of one of Pete Tong's stolen tracks:

It made later appearances in the videos of both Dan Tait and Pete Tong in their sets at the opening of Space, and later in Tong's set at the opening of Wonderland.

It also appears as an icon at www.thewhiteisland.com, leading to a 360 video tunnel, where Elisabeth appears in a dream-like setting.

Finally, it appears as a gateway within a 360 degree tunnel on www.thewhiteisland.com, and initially led internet investigators to Elisabeth's blog.

The second symbol has been revealed in two separate settings. First, it manifested itself as a wine stain on a tablecloth, which became one of the puzzles on www.thewhiteisland.com. Many believe this to be a photograph taken of a tablecloth where Elisabeth Perl and Sarah Main may have met. However, the source of the photo is unknown.

Later, Sarah Main herself posted a photograph to her blog, displaying a piece of jewelry that had been given to her by an odd man in Ibiza. This was the second appearance of this second symbol, which subsequently appeared at www.thewhiteisland.com:

This symbol has appeared only once so far. It was contained in two tracks posted on Elisabeth Perl's blog. Two halves of the symbol had been steganographically embedded in each of the two tracks. When de-stegged and reassembled, they formed this symbol, now associated with Pete Heller.

This symbol has made one appearance, in the fourth puzzle, which led internet investigators to the Love Parade in Dortmund. Some have ventured it may be associated with The Brotherhood of the Green Chrysanthemum, although evidence is circumstantial at best. The symbol has not appeared since.

The drawing above is an interpretation of a symbol that appeared in a video of Elisabeth Perl on the website of The Brotherhood of the Green Chrysanthemum. In the video, Elisabeth creates the symbol from rocks on an unknown beach. The symbol has been loosely associated with a ship called the Esmeralda, as a great deal of information concerning this ship also appears on the same web page.

The following is an interpretation of a symbol that has yet to appear anywhere online, but was revealed by The Young Punx when they hosted The White Island Takeover, a weekly television program on Flaunt centred around solving the mystery of The White Island.

Hal Ritson and Nathan Taylor of The Young Punx hosted the appeal on Flaunt, where it emerged that each of them had been given a symbol by an odd man dressed in a Leopard-skin hat, following one of their gigs. Hal reported he lost his hat during the gig, and it was returned by the funny fellow backstage; inside it, a new symbol had appeared. Nathan confirmed a similar experience with his hat. They both subsequently identified the man from CCTV footage.

The eighth symbol was revealed in a video on YouTube created by DJ Tutor, an internet legend. In the tutorial video, tutor not only reveals himself as a member of The Brotherhood of the Green Chrysanthemum (see the image displayed on his laptop), but also reveals a symbol on a slipmat he uses in the tutorial.

As with the eighth symbol, the ninth was again revealed by DJ Tutor in a tutorial video on YouTube, and appears as an image on a slipmat used in the video.

The tenth symbol was revealed by a puzzle on the website of The Society for the Protection of Ancient Ibiza, run by James Haddow.
The symbol appears as a solution to a puzzle. Investigators have noted its similarity in appearance to the logo for Orumax, Ltd.
